President U.Khurelsukh to pay state visit to Germany after 14 years

At the invitation of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa will pay a state visit to Germany from October 19 to 22, 2026.

The visit marks the first state visit by a Mongolian president to Germany in 14 years and coincides with the 100th anniversary of cooperation between Mongolia and Germany in the field of education.

During the visit, the two presidents will hold official talks on expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, the economy, education, science, and culture. The two sides are also expected to sign a Joint Declaration between Mongolia and the Federal Republic of Germany and identify priority areas for further strengthening their strategic partnership.

The heads of state will also attend the opening of the exhibition Chinggis Khan and the World of the Mongols in Berlin.

Other events scheduled during the visit include the Mongolia–Germany Business Forum, Mongolia–Germany Science Day, an international academic conference on “Cultural Exchange and the Environment in Mongolia and Post-Mongol Eurasia,” and an international academic conference marking the 120th anniversary of the birth of Mongolian writer D.Natsagdorj.

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier paid a state visit to Mongolia in 2024, marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The visit elevated their relationship, based on shared values, to a strategic partnership.
